From the day I got her
some pics of her in progress
my silly buddy helping me
And the final product. Its kinda funny laying all of these photos out and seeing just how far I’ve come with this little machine...
3 years, 30K km, far too much money. a lot of sports riding, a little touring. through ups and downs, I could always count on my little SV turning over on the first key and helping me escape from whatever was bothering me at the time.
Thinking about it...I dont think I can ever really get rid of this bike...

I like the addition of all the stickers. But where is the Oppo sticker? Or better yet, the Canadian Oppo sticker? :D

Nice! Why did you replace the forks (performance, looks)? Has the OPP ever harassed you for your license plate?

Stock forks on the SV650 were complete and utter junk. legit, they were set up for the bike with no rider. + they had kinda meh brakes and were the old fashioned, right side up style, and just generally a very flimsy piece.
with the new forks, not only do I gain upside down forks (lower un-sprung weight) i can run a lighter GSX-R600 wheels VS the SV wheel, i have bigger and better (radial mounted calipers on the new set up) brakes and the springs and fluid inside are much more suited to my weight (not that i’m a heavy guy....150lbs soaking wet with gear) but the stock stuff was just that badly under-sprung.
the fact that they look totally bitchin was a bonus!
the OPP has never bugged my about my plate...
now, York region police on the other hand, stopped me twice in 3 years. and both times were within a month of each other last year.

Missing the best pic though! Little offended (not really).
I do have that one picture though. It has “star”potential.
